Appearances tell a story of cold mornings, late evenings, travel, availability and commitment. These are the first two Puffins recorded by the club at the century landmark.
Hrafn Khan
“A Puffin is measured by what he gives to the flock.”
Jersey number 6. Board member. Bakery legend. At 65, the club celebrated Hrafn as its oldest active Puffin and a 2024 Puffin of the Year—a reminder that contribution is bigger than runs and wickets.

Puffin of the Year: what it represents
The Puffin of the Year award is the club’s annual recognition of contribution to Kópavogur Puffins. It celebrates more than a scorecard: commitment, teamwork, reliability, leadership and the positive character that strengthens the whole squad. Recipients represent different generations and different kinds of contribution, but every name belongs to the same continuing club story. This honours board gives those contributions a permanent home and gives future Puffins a standard to follow.
Can Puffin of the Year be shared?
Yes. Several seasons recognise two recipients. Each shared award is shown equally because both people were chosen by the club for that year.
Why is this separate from team honours?
This page celebrates individuals. Domestic championships remain on the History & Honours page, while Iceland Cricket selection and international tours remain on International Honours.
How is the record maintained?
The list combines official club announcements with confirmed information supplied by Kópavogur Puffins. Future recipients can be added without rewriting the club’s championship or international history.
