The roots of the Puffins story reach back to a pioneering cricket tour in 2014. The club was formally established in Kópavogur the following year.

Founded in 2015 by Abhishek Chauhan, Kópavogur Puffins has grown into a proud, competitive and welcoming part of Icelandic cricket. Players from many backgrounds come together under one badge—with respect for each other and determination until the final ball.
