Who are WE?

Kópavogur Cricket Club was Abhishek Chauhan’s brainchild and was formed in 2015. They have six titles to their name. They won the Volcanic Ashes in 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2020; the latter victory, plus the Íslensk Premier League and the Sixty Ball Shootout, comprised an unprecedented season treble last year. Currently boasting a small squad of fourteen players, they will endeavor to match last season's triumphs in 2021.

  •  Promote and develop grassroots cricket in Iceland.
  •  Create the fittest and fastest cricket players.
  •  Grow our squad to at least 18 players during the 2021 season.
  •  Raise funds for equipment, player development, and tours in 2022.
  •  Cultivate excellent team spirit and play to win but in a fair and friendly manner.
