Club life is where competitive Iceland Cricket meets friendship, travel and a welcoming team culture. The Puffins train throughout the year, adapting to Iceland’s weather with indoor winter sessions and outdoor summer cricket. Players arrive with different levels of experience, but everyone contributes to the same goal: improving together and enjoying the game.
Match days are only one part of club life. Training sessions, team hikes, social gatherings and overseas tours help new players settle into the group. The club also celebrates service and character through the Puffin of the Year and Club Legends page. Those stories show how loyalty, humour and commitment matter alongside runs and wickets.

Each season brings a different rhythm. Indoor practice keeps skills sharp during the darker months, while summer brings league matches, longer evenings and opportunities to welcome visiting teams. Senior players share experience with newer members, and teammates help one another understand local competitions, grounds and the practical side of playing cricket in Iceland.
The social side is equally important. Puffins come from varied backgrounds, so club life creates connections beyond the boundary. Shared meals, celebrations and travel strengthen trust that later appears on the field. That balance—serious cricket without losing the joy of belonging—is central to the Kópavogur identity.
