The pathway stayed alive
No documented Iceland men’s overseas tour. Puffins continued competing at home during an exceptional global season.

Iceland named a 22-player national squad. The planned Italy journey did not become a recorded international campaign, so this is recognised as selection—not a tour cap.

No documented Iceland men’s overseas tour. Abhishek Chauhan finished as Iceland Cricket’s leading domestic wicket-taker with 24 wickets, strengthening the club’s national credentials.
Three straight Iceland wins
Puffins featured in Iceland’s Euro Cup squad as the national side defeated Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine and finished level on points with Poland. Club board records also confirm that Kópavogur supplied the highest number of Iceland national-team selections in 2025.
Finalists—and a Puffins standout
Iceland reached the Euro Cup final. Kópavogur’s David Cook was named Bowler of the Tournament, a landmark individual honour on the international stage.

Puffins on CricHeroes
CricHeroes preserves scorecards from the 2023 Scott Page Memorial Cup in Prague. Kópavogur Puffins recorded a 44-run victory over Vinohrady Cricket Club, providing an independent match record of the club competing abroad.

International Honours connect club and country.
International Honours recognise more than a name on a squad list. Selection rewards training, domestic performance and the trust required to represent Iceland. Every Puffin chosen for national duty carries lessons from Kópavogur into a wider cricket environment.
The record also gives younger players a visible pathway. International Honours show that consistent club cricket can lead to Baltic fixtures, Euro Cup campaigns and individual tournament recognition. The club remains proud of every selection while keeping official squad selection separate from a documented international appearance.
As Iceland Cricket grows, this International Honours board will be updated carefully. New tours, caps and awards will be added only when they can be supported by reliable squad or tournament records.
